Achillea millefoliumÂ
Wildly grown in Europe, Western Asia and United States. Traditionally used to heal wounds, nose bleeds and toothaches. Pharmacologically, it has hypotensive effects on the circulatory system, haemostatic for skin healing and antibacterial for reproductive complications.
Scent - Middle note
Sharp- camphoraceous, soothing to the mind- extracted from the flowering herb.
Anti-catarrhal, anti-inflammatory, antirheumatc, antispasmodic, carminative, cicatrisant, emmenagogue, haemostatic, vulnerary.
Digestive weakness, digestive pains, dysmenorrhoea, eczema and allergic skin, neuralgia, menstrual pain, menopause, skin infections, vaginal infections, wounds.
Topical application - massage, compression, bath, ointment, liniment;
Inhalation - direct inhalation, diffusion, vaporisation.
Vaporiser oilÂ
A spicy scent stimulates appetite and calm chronic stress. It blends well with clary sage, lavender and vetiver essential oils.Â
Switch on vaporiser to the maximum, add a few drops of Yarrow oil alone or with blended essence according to the area size and intensity, and allow the oil to evaporate to saturate the environment. Ensure all windows and doors are closed.
General regarded as safe, avoid for dermatitis or allergic conditions. Perform patch and/or scent test before use. For any skin allergic reactions, run tap water or cool compress on affected areas until redness subsided. Store essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place and avoid sunlight and keep children out of reach.
Essential oils are not safe to apply on the skin undiluted nor to consume any small amounts which can cause significant poisoning.
