Commiphora myrrhaĀ
Produced from South Arabia. Myrrh aromatic substances dated backed 4000 years, renown for skin care preparations, embalming and perfumery. It is packed with immeasurable antimicrobial properties for digestive disorders, antiseptic for skin wounds, pulmonary stimulant for respiratory disorders and uterine stimulant for reproductive disorders.
ScentĀ - Base note
Warm-spicy, balsamic, calming on the mind- distilled from the myrrh resin.
Anti-catarrhal, anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial,Ā cicatrisant, expectorant, emmenagogue, fungicidal, pulmonary stimulant, sedative, uterine stimulant, vulnerary.
Ā Dermal- fungal infections, diarrhoea, gum or throat infections, haemorrhoids, menstrual cramps, ulcers, viral hepatitis, weeping eczema, wounds.
Topical application - massage, compression, bath, douche, ointment, liniment, skin care;
Inhalation - direct inhalation, diffusion, vaporisation.
Vaporiser oilsĀ
Myrrh oil instil a deep sense of calm and tranquility on the mind. Renown for its ancient perfume and incense, Myrrh pairs well with frankincense, lemon and lavender.
Switch on vaporiser to the maximum, add a few drops of Myrrh oil alone or with blended essence according to the area size and intensity, and allow the oil to evaporate to saturate the environment. Ensure all windows and doors are closed.
Contra-indicated during pregnancy. General regarded as safe.Ā Perform patch and/or scent test before use. For any skin allergic reactions, run tap water or cool compress on affected areas until redness subsided. Store essential oil in a dark, cool and dry place and avoid sunlight and keep children out of reach.
Essential oils are not safe to apply on the skin undiluted nor to consume any small amounts which can cause significant poisoning.
